The Chesapeake Brass Authority, founded in 2018 by mid-Atlantic area musicians, promotes brass quintet music through performance and education. We play a wide variety of styles and periods including classical, Renaissance, jazz, Latin, film and TV scores, and contemporary/pop compositions.
The CBA members collectively have more than 150 years of performing experience: Len Morse and Ryan Petersburg on trumpets, Jamin Morden on horn, Chris Rehagen on trombone, and Jeff Johns on tuba. We each perform in local concert bands, jazz bands, or orchestras, as well as our quintet. We strive to bring depth, musicality, and exuberance to every performance.
